A sweet, chocolate chip cookie is made in your own kitchen.
It’s one of those little gifts that you can’t have enough of, and one that’s perfect for a family gathering.
But for those of you who have kids of your own, it’s not only the perfect snack for them but also a delicious treat for you as well.
Here’s how to make a delicious chocolate chip, peanut butter and jam cookie.
The basic ingredients You will need: A baking pan (or cookie pan) 1 1/2 tablespoons sugar 1 tablespoon butter, melted 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 1/4 teaspoon salt 2 cups all-purpose flour 2 tablespoons butter, softened 1 cup chocolate chips, chopped into 1/8-inch pieces, about 1/3 cup coarsely chopped 1 teaspoon baking powder 1 teaspoon cinnamon 1/6 teaspoon ground nutmeg 1/12 teaspoon ground cloves 1 teaspoon salt 1 cup milk Chocolate chips, finely chopped Instructions Preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
In a large bowl, whisk together the sugar, butter, vanilla, salt, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves and salt until well combined.
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until well incorporated.
Add the milk and mix until combined.
Spoon the batter into the prepared baking pan, pressing down to form a ball.
Bake for 30 to 35 minutes or until the edges are set.
Remove from the oven and let cool completely.
In the meantime, make the chocolate chips.
In small bowl, beat together the melted butter, chocolate chips and 1 teaspoon of baking powder until smooth.
Meanwhile, melt the butter in a saucepan over medium-high heat.
Add in the flour and whisk until combined, about 2 minutes.
Add 1/16 teaspoon of cinnamon and 2 tablespoons of milk and whisk together until combined until smooth and creamy.
Add vanilla and the remaining 1/7 teaspoon of salt and mix again.
Pour into the cookie sheet and smooth out with your hands.
Bake the cookies for 25 to 30 minutes or for as long as you like.
