It’s the holidays and you’ve got to give it a shot.
If you’re a chocolate lover, you’ll be tempted to indulge in one of the countless chocolate desserts out there.
But what if you don’t have the time or money for a fancy chocolate cake?
That’s where this recipe comes in.
Chocolate Glazed Peanut Butter Cookies with Chocolate Sauce recipeThis chocolate sauce is an easy to make chocolate cookie recipe that tastes just like peanut butter.
You can even make this recipe with plain, chocolate sauce if you want to.
Just add your choice of peanut butter to the mixture.
I used peanut butter because I like it, but any kind of nut butter is fine.
It will add a rich, nutty flavor.
To make the chocolate sauce, melt the chocolate in the microwave or at a slow simmer in a saucepan over medium heat until melted.
Add the chocolate and stir to combine.
Let it simmer for 5-10 minutes.
You will need to stir it often to prevent it from sticking to the bottom of the pan.
Meanwhile, whisk the eggs and milk in a bowl.
Add this to the egg mixture and whisk well.
Slowly whisk in the vanilla.
Slowly pour this mixture into a pan or baking dish.
Bake for 30 minutes.
For a drier chocolate sauce: In a large bowl, beat together the sugar and eggs until fluffy.
Add in the peanut butter mixture and beat again until well combined.
Add in the flour and mix until the dough forms a ball.
You should be able to roll the dough out into a long rectangle about 2 inches thick.
Put this into a bowl and cover it with plastic wrap.
Let this rest for about 1 hour.
Remove the plastic wrap and let it sit at room temperature for about an hour.
When ready to bake, remove the pan from the oven and turn the heat to medium.
When the oven is hot, place a cookie sheet in the center and set the pan on it.
Cover the sheet and leave the pan uncovered until it reaches a temperature of 250 degrees F. After about 20 minutes, carefully remove the sheet from the heat and allow it to cool slightly.
Once cooled, remove a cookie from the sheet.
Place it on a parchment paper-lined baking sheet and drizzle with the peanut and chocolate sauce.
Sprinkle with more chocolate sauce and top with another cookie.
