Posted October 07, 2018 09:10:54 Chocolate cake for chocolate chips is a simple recipe, but one that is perfect for Christmas.
Here’s how to make it: 1 cup flour, 1 cup cocoa powder, 1 tsp baking powder, ½ tsp salt, ½ cup milk.
Mix together and mix until well combined.
3 tbsp butter, 2 tbsp cream, 1 tbsp brown sugar.
Combine flour, cocoa powder and baking powder.
Add butter and cream and mix well.
Mix in milk.
Shape dough into a ball.
Brush with melted chocolate.
Bake for 25-30 minutes at 350F for the chocolate cake, or until it’s golden brown.
It should be firm but not cakey.
Notes To make the chocolate bark for the crust, place the chocolate in a bowl with 1 tbsp of butter, ½ tbsp of cream, ½ c. of powdered sugar and 1 tsp.
baking powder and let sit for 15 minutes.
Stir the bark into the chocolate mixture.
You can also bake it the night before, and use it as a base.
