Posted March 13, 2018 05:09:52 I love chocolate cake.
I don’t like frosting.
I like to use vegan chocolate.
I’m not a huge fan of the cake-making process.
And I don-t like frosted cakes.
This vegan chocolate cake is a delicious combination of chocolate and fruit and cream.
I didn’t bake it.
I took the recipe from a friend of mine, and I adapted it to my own taste.
If you’re like me, you’ll have a difficult time getting the perfect frosting for your cake.
The ingredients I used are: 1 cup of sugar 1/2 cup of milk (I used vegan buttermilk) 1 egg, beaten 2 cups of cake flour 1 cup cocoa powder 1/4 cup of baking soda 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 1 teaspoon almond extract 1 cup milk chocolate cake mix, for decorating 1 cup vegan margarine 1 cup chopped walnuts 1/3 cup vegan chocolate frosted cake mix for decorizing 1/8 cup almond flour 1/16 cup water 1 tablespoon coconut oil, melted for decorate (optional) 1.
To make the cake: Combine the sugar, milk, egg, cocoa powder, baking soda, and vanilla in a bowl.
Stir well to combine.
Add the almond flour, water, and coconut oil to a large mixing bowl and mix thoroughly.
Add in the cake mix and stir until thoroughly combined.
This will make it sticky, so be careful.
If the batter is too thick, add an extra teaspoon of water to the mix.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the margarine, walnuts, chocolate and vegan chocolate until smooth.
Add half of the batter to the wet ingredients and mix to combine with the remaining batter.
Spread the batter evenly on the cake.
Make sure it is completely covered with the batter.
Use a spatula to shape the cake into a round cake.
Place the remaining cake batter in a separate baking pan and bake for 40-45 minutes.
If necessary, let the cake cool for at least 10 minutes before removing from the pan.
Let the cake rest for about 10 minutes.
Place it in the fridge to set before decorating.
Use the same ingredients for the frosting as the cake cake.
Use your favorite frosting brush to smooth the frosted layer over the cake, adding a little extra icing if needed.
